Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before purchasing or accessing this course.

By purchasing, accessing, or using this course, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Definitions

“Provider”, “we”, “us”, “our” refers to Playful Pathways.

“Course” refers to the online self-paced course entitled Ready, Set up & Grow Your Play Therapy Private Practice, comprising nine modules and any associated materials, downloads, templates, recordings, resources, or bonuses.

“Participant”, “you”, “your” refers to the individual purchasing and accessing the Course.

2. Course Description

The Course is a self-paced online educational programme designed to provide information, guidance, practical tools, and resources to support qualified or trainee therapists who wish to establish or develop a private play therapy practice within the United Kingdom.

Access is provided online via playfulpathways.co.uk

We reserve the right to update, modify, add, or remove Course content at any time to ensure accuracy and relevance.

 

3. Eligibility

By purchasing this Course, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that the Course is suitable for your professional circumstances.

  • You understand that professional practice requirements vary according to individual circumstances, governing bodies, location and regulatory requirements.

 

4. Educational Purposes Only

The Course is provided solely for educational and informational purposes.

All information, templates, examples, guidance, suggestions, and recommendations contained within the Course represent general guidance only.

Nothing within the Course constitutes:

  • legal advice;

  • financial advice;

  • accounting or tax advice;

  • insurance advice;

  • regulatory advice; or

  • professional business consultancy.

You acknowledge and agree that the Course is not a substitute for obtaining independent professional advice from appropriately qualified legal, financial, tax, insurance, or other professional advisers.

You are solely responsible for seeking independent professional advice relevant to your individual circumstances.

 

5. No Guarantees or Warranties

Whilst we aim to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we make no guarantees, representations, or warranties regarding:

  • the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of Course materials;

  • the establishment, success, profitability, or sustainability of your private practice;

  • levels of income, client numbers, business growth, or professional outcomes.

Individual results will vary depending on numerous factors, including experience, qualifications, market conditions, location, effort, and personal circumstances.

 

6. Professional Responsibility

You remain solely responsible for:

  • complying with all applicable laws and regulations;

  • ensuring compliance with professional standards and ethical requirements;

  • maintaining appropriate professional registration, accreditation, supervision, and insurance;

  • ensuring that your practice complies with all safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality, and clinical governance requirements.

Nothing in this Course overrides the requirements of your professional body, insurer, employer, regulator, or applicable UK legislation.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from:

  • use of or reliance upon the Course;

  • business decisions made following participation in the Course;

  • loss of income, profits, clients, contracts, reputation, or business opportunities;

  • professional or regulatory issues arising from implementation of Course guidance.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

 

8. Intellectual Property

All Course materials remain the intellectual property of Aideen McCartney (Playful Pathways).

You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal professional use only.

You may not:

  • copy, reproduce, distribute, share, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit Course materials;

  • upload Course materials to third-party platforms;

  • provide login details to another person;

  • record, duplicate, or redistribute video content.

Unauthorised use may result in termination of access without refund and may lead to legal action.

 

9. Access to the Course

Access to the Course is provided for lifetime access (for the lifetime of the course).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where:

  • these Terms are breached;

  • unlawful or inappropriate conduct occurs;

  • unauthorised sharing of materials is identified.

 

10. Payment

Course fees are payable in full at the time of purchase unless an agreed payment plan is in place.

Where instalment plans are offered, all payments remain due in accordance with the agreed schedule.

Failure to make payments may result in suspension or removal of access.

 

11. Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you are purchasing as a consumer within the UK, you may have rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

By purchasing immediate access to digital content and accessing the Course, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you may lose your statutory 14-day cancellation right once digital content has been accessed.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

 

12. Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a money-back guarantee subject to the specific conditions set out below:

Request for Refund: To initiate the refund process, you must submit a written request within 7 days of purchasing the training program to aideen@playfulpathways.co.uk. The request should clearly state the reasons for your dissatisfaction and any specific areas where you feel the program did not meet your expectations.

Assessment of Refund Request: Upon receiving your refund request, we will review it thoroughly and assess the validity of your concerns. We may contact you for further clarification, to request that you complete an exit questionnaire or to discuss potential resolutions.

Refund requests that do not meet all stated conditions may be declined.

If your refund request is approved, your enrolment will be immediately cancelled and your access to the online learning platform withdrawn. You will no longer qualify for CPD certification or have access to any course-exclusive networking or social media groups or future course materials.

Refund Processing: If your refund request is approved, we will process the refund within 30 days of the approval date. The refund will be issued by BACS or via your original payment method. We are not responsible for any fees that your bank, or other payment methods, may deduct from the payment.

Please note that our money-back option is intended to address situations where the online course/s falls short of our guarantee and your reasonable expectations. We encourage open communication throughout the training process to address any concerns promptly and provide opportunities for resolution.

 

13. Confidentiality

Participants may have access to community discussions, examples, case studies, or group interactions.

You agree to maintain the confidentiality and privacy of any information shared by other participants and not disclose identifiable information without consent.

 

14. Data Protection

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

 

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time.

The most current version will always be made available via our website or learning platform.

 

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
