Aideen McCartney

I’m a certified Play Therapist and parenting coach working with children and families in Cardiff, Wales.

I launched my first private practice in South London in 2017, alongside working in mainstream and SEN primary schools. I loved the balance of these two working environments and the way that I could learn different things in each, that would improve my work in the other.

Alongside my direct work with children, I have always been passionate about supporting parents and educators to help them better understand and attune to the children in their care. I work with parents locally and as far away as Australia and New Zealand through the wonders of online video calls.

I am very excited to share this programme with other therapists who would like to launch their own private practice. My hope is that it will be a guide and support participants at every step of the way, so that they feel confident and aspirational in their decision making. I believe very strongly in the work that play therapists can do and look forward to seeing many more people running thriving private practices that will support the children and families in their communities.
